PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYOR - LEWES OFFICE - FULL TIME
A Professional Land Surveyor plays a crucial role in accurately defining property boundaries and providing essential spatial data for various projects, including construction, land development, and legal documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, civil engineering, and the use of advanced surveying technologies. This position involves both fieldwork and office work, requiring a strong understanding of surveying principles, mathematics, legal aspects related to land, and modern surveying technologies.
Qualifications:
*Possession of a valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Delaware, or the ability to obtain one through reciprocity or transfer.
-A bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
-Proven experience in land surveying, with a strong understanding of surveying principles and practices.
-Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
-Proficiency in utilizing surveying instruments, GPS systems, GIS software, and CAD software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
-Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills to interpret data, reconcile discrepancies, and provide accurate survey results.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and government officials.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Conducting detailed land surveys to determine property boundaries, elevations, contours, and other topographical features using specialized equipment like GPS systems, and total stations.
-Researching and analyzing historical maps, legal records, and survey records to establish accurate boundary lines and provide expert advice on land development projects.
-Preparing, verifying, and maintaining sketches, maps, and reports of surveys, ensuring accuracy in measurements and calculations.
-Prepare ALTA surveys and other detailed schematics required for construction projects.
-Collaborating with civil engineers, architects, construction teams, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate land assessments and ensure compliance with regulations.
-Supervising and mentoring survey technicians and field staff, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of surveying activities.
-Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to land surveys.
SURVEY PARTY CHIEF - LEWES OFFICE - FULL TIME
The primary function of the Survey Party Chief is that of responsible charge of a survey crew. To conduct land surveys and as builts, using surveying instruments as required by local jurisdictions and clients. Communicate with and instruct other crew members effectively and have knowledge of current surveying techniques along with strong math and data collection skills.
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma/GED and two (2) year related degree. Three (3) years of experience as a survey crew member. (A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
-Working knowledge of the Delaware Survey related Statutes and Minimum Technical Standards.
-Knowledge of Global Position Systems and data collection methods.
-Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
-Experience with as GIS and CAD is preferred.
-Valid Driver's License is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Engage in procuring field data necessary for the preparation of plans for streets and other public works projects, as well as other land survey projects, including topographic surveys & construction layout, and boundary surveys.
-Reduce and plot field notes and make field engineering computations. Requires ability to operate robotic and GPS survey instruments in the performance of survey work, ability to interpret engineering specification and plans, ability to lay out and supervise the assigned work in a manner conducive with project requirements.
-Performs construction layout for streets, sewer lines, and water lines, and establishes line and grade for construction work.
-Checks work for conformance to plans and specifications. Prepares drawings, maps, and other records pertaining to field survey work. Records survey notes in field books and data collectors.
CIVIL CAD TECHNICIAN - LEWES OFFICE - FULL TIME
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting civil engineering and land surveying projects through drafting & design tasks. This position requires proficiency in various design software and a strong understanding of civil engineering and land surveying principles. The Civil CAD Technician will collaborate with engineers and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications:
-Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson) for drafting and design tasks) - MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
-Ability to create detailed schematics and technical drawings for engineering projects.
-Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
-Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The CAD Technician will collaborate with land surveyors and engineers to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and industry standards.
Qualifications:
-Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson) for drafting and design tasks) - MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
